I did the upgrades from 3.64 al the way to 3.68L2. But when I log in through the admin panel it shows the following:

"Latest version available: 3.6.8 Patch Level 2 (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1442161). You are currently running vBulletin version 3.6.4."

I have done all prior upgrade 3.66, 3.67, 3.68 and I still see version 3.64. Any idea?

Also when I did the upgrade I did not find the file "version_vbulletin.php" file in the includes folder when upgrading from 3.64 to 3.66, but I did copy it in there.

Any idea?

That means you did not upload the 3.6.8 PL2 files. You need to upload those files and overwrite the ones on the server. Then run upgrade.php. You should see version 3.6.8 in the upper right-hand corner. If you don't, then you have not uploaded the files correctly.

I uploaded the three files, Class_bbcode.php, functions_editor.php, and version_vbulleting.php to the Includes folder. Where is the upgrade.php file located?

That is the patch file, not the upgrade. You need to download the full 3.6.8 PL2 zip file from the members area, upload those files, then upgrade normally.

I know for the 3.68L2 you need the full upgrade, I went back and did the upgrade till 3.67, but it still shows version 3.64. Do I need to do the full upgrade or the patch upgrade even for 3.66 or 3.67?

This still means that you did not upload the 3.6.8 PL2 files and run upgrade.php. You can't patgh 3.6.4. You have to do a complete upgrade.
