Attachment count not updated

I am using the "File System" to save attachments for Issues in Project Tools. When a user uploads an attachment, the count of how many attachments are associated with the issue is not updated automatically. It does update after I log into the Admin CP and run both "Update Counters" functions from the Project Tool section.

Is there any setting I missed which is preventing the attachment count to be updated automatically?
