View Full Version : [fixed] How do I delay notification emails on posts that are $visible=0?

I'm looking to implement a little hack to force unregistered posts through the moderation queue and the only problem I haven't been able to fix is the fact that even when the forum is marked as "moderated" and posts go into the queue, the notification email is still sent right away. This means users will get an email about a new post/reply before the moderator approves the message resulting in a large number of "where is the new post you said was there?" emails to our support department.

Is there a way to delay user email notification until a thread/post is marked as $visible=1?

Thanks,

Wes

Actually, I think this is more a bug we have to address.

Ok, I'm glad you said that instead of "it works right in 2.0.3, upgrade!" because I've tried to upgrade a few times and have had a devil of a time getting it to stick. :D

I'll see if I can figure out a work around for now.

Thanks!
