3.7 Beta2 not listed in download

i am going to upgrade from the vb3.6.8 please NOTE i never update the patch level1 and level 2.

so whats my exact step?
upgrade to 3.7beta2 then to 3.7beta 3?
no need to patch level1,2 right?

The beta 3 upgrader will take you through all the steps. You do not need to download 3.7.0 Beta 2.

ok. so how abt the patches for level1 and 2 in 3.6.8?

whats the steps involve ? i got my config.php from 3.6.8 . can just copy over n uploads the rest of the file? or use the upgrade.php script ?

i will have to learn more in this upgrade method now.

Just download 3.7.0 Beta 3, upload all of its files except install/install.php and then run install/upgrade.php in your browser. You don't need to change your config.php at all.

Hi, does this mean my old version forum also not set the db properly? i use my old config.php n i can gp to upgrade phase smoothly
initially my connection to ftp got cut off halfway , i reupload again. produce 100s error.
so i copied back the backup forum to the ftp and rename the old folder to forum2.
will they be any more issue with this? thanks


another question is the template: is 3.8 template compatible with 3.7 template?
i got 6 template need to edit

Download the style via Admin CP option. It'll get the CSS as well as templates.

instead of to download the style you can just click on the history to check what has been changed in this template by jelsoft(keep this history in a new tab), then you carefully check if there is no changes made by you for possible addons that need theses template change(they are often highlighted in Green), then in another tab you revert the template to have it "Jelsofted" to the last version 3.7, and you reapply you own templates changes that should appear Green in the template history. I made this for around 200 templates here so it works for sure once you understand perfectly the revert/history mechanism
