Is all I have to do now -
Download smart ftp
drag the upload folders into the public folders at my server.
Then install vbulletin.
The bits I dont understand are - I want a homepage which has a link to the forums (called 'enter forum). How do I do that?
What else do I need to do?
Please help, Ive been getting a bit lost. You can make either an html page for your homepage, or download and install the vBadvanced CMPS, which is free and you can find at www.vbadvanced.com

Im now at a stage where I have completed my home page and Im ready to upload it and vbulletin.
Do I need to create an index.html or something so that when someone goes to my site they go to the home pahe and then they can click on the link I have created and go to another site, /forums.
Really havent a clue how to do this. Do I upload vbulletin and my home page to the public.html folder and then create an index.html?
Please can a genius explain it to me, if so please explain it as if you are talking to a complete dummy.

You can do it either way.
index.html will go to your homepage.
index.php will be the forum.
If your forum is going to be in your root directory/ upload it to public_html.
If you use a separate directory, add /forum and load it there.
I find it useful to have the forum in its own directory.
So I can have
/forum
/gallery
/whatever else I decide

Place your file up one folder to: public_html / front page.html
You should add an underscore and not leave spaces in file names: front_page.html
