This forum was put up 3 days ago. New install, nothing posted, nothing altered, new data base, etc Got the same error as I did the other day concerning SNC sobernclean before I had no choice but to wipe it out and install 3.6.8. I would love for you guys to go register there www.thesoberteenager.com and see what happens when you log out. Makes no sense. I didn't have time to print screen the whole thing I did 5 or 6 is all and the slide bar on the right only moved maybe 1/8th of a inch.

The problem looks like you're missing a bitfield field or using an outdated version of the database. I went to the link you mentioned above, and it seems to be a fresh new install of 3.7 beta 3, was the above error on a fresh install like I've guessed? Or do you have some old data mixed in there?

I just registered and logged out of your site and received no errors at all. Have you tried clearing your browser cookies? This can sometimes become corrupt and cause issues.

Edit: Oops I registered at the wrong URL... sorry.

It was before the upgrade to beta 3 I finished the upgrade about 20 minutes ago or so. it happened before the beta 3 this is the exact same thing that happened at snc. Anyways just wanted to show you that this was the same problem with snc on beta 2

I just tried registering but the registration is failing - I filled in all fields, and it stated I had not answered the NoSpam question... that field isn't available during registration. Are you sure its enabled?

This issue is on http://www.thesoberteenager.com/forum as shown in the aforementioned posts.

Just logged into your site and seems to be working fine here. Tried all three styles you have available for unregistered. Default and the Christmas ones seem to be working fine.

The Pro Blue Style does not seem to have the link to your images set properly. It is showing red "x" where the statusicon should be. It is showing a link to:

http://www.sobernclean.com/forum/problue/statusicon/forum_old.gif

which produces a "file not found" error.

You need to make sure that your statusicons for that style are actually in that folder.

I don't know if it is on or not I have't messed with that site at all since it has been downloaded and installed and the errors that are shown are for that site.

As far as the styles I know what styles i have I got them last night or should I say around 3 this morning trying to get the forum back up before members started to roll in and they probably have decided to roll out.

I am too tired I have been up for almost 48 hours I have 3.6.8 installed on SNC, clean database etc and get white flashes in the admin CP when logging out. I am done messing with vbulletin for now. thanks

There is no spam verification answer or question in the admin cp I just went over to check. It isn't my fault if the crap isn't working I know it shows the image verification and that is what is in the admin cp also. Must be a bug or something I don't know but I am tired of coming here to tell everyone that there are things wrong and don't get any help so I guess that there won't be anyone registering at the sober teenagers.

You really should not be trying to do any of this with that little sleep, that's crazy. I have before and made mistakes I didn't know I'd made.

I have stayed up a lot longer than that and gotten a lot more done also. But yeah rest is always good.

There is a problem with the verification stuff. Not sure why but I enabled the answerquestion and it keeps telling me that my answer is not correct when I know that it is correct. So yeah I guess how do ya fix that from our end? I don't think it has much to do with us when this wasn't enabled at all anyway until now.

Given the issues you've reported with your system timing out login sessions (likely date/time problems on your server, as suggested earlier), the captcha/turing systems will have similar problems.

Please read the following several times and understand what is being said:

Steps to solve all of your problems:

Pull up the requirements document for vB 3.7. Particularly supported database versions, recommended settings, server settings etc.
Update your server. From Apache through MySQL.
Ensure that MySQL is configured properly (not using innodb, etc)
Set the date/time on your server. Have this updated via a cronjob regularly.
Check the timezone that you're reporting under Apache, PHP, etc. vs the timezone that the server is set to.
Delete EVERYTHING related to vB from your system (since you've likely horked it by playing around at this point). Reinstall from scratch, starting with a blank database and installation directory.
DO NOT INSTALL A SINGLE MOD, HACK, or THEME. None. Not a single one. No offense, but you do not have the requisite knowledge of servers and technology to get away with this on a beta release.
Profit.
I've been running vB for years on my server without a single issue. I've update my live forums (~1.5m posts) to beta2 and beta3 without a single hiccup beyond a minor race issue with tags on a new thread that was fixed within minutes of the initial release of beta2.

Read and follow the steps above.

GUARANTEED that you have multiple steps missed on your server.

At a minimum, your server's time (or timezone) is misset, and you have numerous database and plugin issues.

I sincerely doubt that you have actually managed a "clean" install, but have instead installed over an existing copy (be it existing files on the file system or residue of a previous install in the database).

You need to realize that the rest of the modern world (for the most part) is getting along without any major issue with a beta version of the software. Your reporting multiple "show stopper" issues with your installation alongside of a distinct lack of technical aptitude and the stated position of having installed hacks on previous installations speaks to issues with both the user (you) and your server setup.

Read the steps posted above.

Read them again.

Get a friend to read them.

Follow them.
