Major Internet disruptions in Southern CA ?

My forum, and the server host, Webintellects has been down for hours now. I call and get a busy signal. Anyone know of any internet disruptions in the San Diego or Carlsbad, CA area ? If not, Webintellects themselves have a major problem...worrisome...

(on edit) Working now and I got thru on the phone finally...tech says denial of service attack....entire hosting company down for 2 hours. Has this ever happened to any of you guys ? Just wondering if "better" hosts have more safeguards or re routing possiblities so this never happens ?

Secure Shell (SSH) is a place where alot of the trouble happens, but that is mostly on shared hosting. Someone must of decided to be a numskull and tried some attack within. Your hosting company may have a forum and post some vague details on what just happen.
