Hi,

Is there a setting somewhere that I can change what the thread rating phrases are (Excellent, Good, Average, Bad, Terrible) or do I have to go into the database directly to change this?

All language is in Phrases. Do a 'Search in Phrases' for the specific language you are looking for, then edit the appropriate Phrase.

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases

Note: To edit a phrase, place the new phrase in the available language text boxes.

Man Steve, you guys have built an incredible system! vBulletin has taught me so much about application development:)

One question on this though... Is there any documentation that explains these phrases a little more in detail? I'm just a little concerned that I might not be changing the correct thing. For example, if you take a look at my screenshot below you'll see that there are two Standard Phrases with the word "bad" in it: one "Show Thread Phrases containing bad" and one "Posting Phrases Containing bad". Am I supposed to change both of these or just one? What's the difference between the two?

thanks!

No sorry, there is no documentation for each of the approximately 7000+ phrases.

ouch! Sorry, this was the first time I looked at this part of the system:( I wasn't thinking how large the system was before I asked that question.

Anywoo, for anyone reading this thread I changed the "Show Thread Phrases containing bad" setting to what I wanted and it changed the rating. Easy stuff!

Thanks Steve.

vBulletin Rocks! I can't wait to install the new 3.7 version:D It looks absolutely incredible! I'm just hoping that it plays nicely with my plugins.
