I can't seem to find out where you can set which usergroups have access to view the post history of an edited post. Anyone?

Nor can I.... and this is one of the things we've been waiting for, as something we haven't yet been able to test on vB.com.

You have been able to see it here on your own posts...
Any user that can edit a post can see the history.

Can't we set specific usergroup permissions for the history function?

Yes... this is what I was referring to. In another thread on this, several people had asked whether there would be an ability to set usergroups to see edit histories - not just the poster and admins (thus emulating the functionality in the existing hack). While no official response came to that thread, it seems that in the end this has not been incorporated - so that the only people who can see the edit history are the poster of the message and moderators / admins who have global edit priviledges. But there is no way to make the edit history viewable to all readers (unless one were to make all usergroups able to edit globally - which clearly one would not wish to do).
This is extremely disappointing, and rather absents the usefulness of the post edit history as a tool for reader visibility of edits.
Could someone confirm that there is no way to do this in vB 3.7? Might it be incorporated before the final release?
Else it will be best for many of us to skin 3.7 to disable the native feature in the code, and continue with the more functional mod.

*Bump* I wonder if we could get some sort of official response on this issue? Many thanks.

The official response is that this is working as designed right now. Please feel free to make a feature request here:
