View Full Version : Database error when upgrading to vbulleting 3.7 beta 2

Uploaded all the files, exeptfrom install/install.php then renamed config.php.new to config.php and now i get this:
Database errorThe database has encountered a problem.Please try the following:
Load the page again by clicking the Refresh (http://www.badcompanyforums.com/admincp/template.php?do=modify#) button in your web browser.
Open the www.badcompanyforums.com (http://www.badcompanyforums.com/) home page, then try to open another page.
Click the Back (http://javascript<b></b>:history.back(1)) button to try another link.The www.badcompanyforums.com (http://www.badcompanyforums.com) forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them (dbmaster@example.com) if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
Edit: Im gonna upload all my 3.6.8 files agian and se if it workes.

We need to see the real error message. Right-click on the error page and go to View/Source. Then copy-n-paste the error message here.

You overwrote your config.php file with a new unedited one. You should have to do this. If you have a backup of your old files restore the config.php file from 3.6.8 and you should be able to run the upgrade.

Ye I overwrote config.php... I had the config.php without the values, filled the in, uploaded but still the same error.

Double check your database, it says your missing the table prefix, or the database you're using doesnt have any tables in it.

I now saw i put the wrong database name in lol.. fixed that and put mst_ as table prefix but it still wont work.

You haven't changed the db username or password to match the correct ones.
