I was having quite a few problems getting VB running for the first time. One of the problems I had was with avatars not being saved properly. It turns out it was because of the PHP version I was using. I decided to go with a previous RPM version and it worked. (I couldn't find the latest version in RPM.)
It occured to me that if I had just matched the versions used on this board which I think is running on Linux, that I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. I couldn't find any place here where the specs for this board was listed.
Obviously, it doesn't gurantee that I won't have any problems. I do, however, think it will increase my chances of not having problems significantly. After all, this board is being run by the developers and has a lot of activity.
So how about it? What is the VB Community Forums running on?
