Since I am unable to reply to the hosting experiences thread, i will start a new one, and hope that some mod can post it for me!
rackshack.net, kikko.com
=================
Kikko.com (aka KikkoNetworks.com)
Experience - When I first signed up with Kikko, they were great. The site was fast, even with 90+ users on. It was a shared server, although we were the only site on it at the time. A couple (2) weeks went by, and we gradually started noticing more and more problems. Site was slower, even though we were still the only people on it, and it was constantly going down. Support was absolutely horrible! Sometimes, they failed to respond to the emails completely. Other times, they would say 'there is nothing wrong with the server.' Very unprofessional. Then came the big one - they didnt have a certified *nix master on board, even though they were running *nix (ours was a Cobalt Linux) servers! That was too much. We dropped them very quickly, after the Mysql server went down more than 2 consecutive weeks. I am waiting to be reimbursed.
Pros: Fast setup, seemed to be a relatively good deal
Cons: Horrible Support. Shared servers. MySQL server went down and stayed down. Bad experience.
I would NOT recommend them.
=============================
Rackshack.net
So far I have been with Rackshack for less than a week. And what can I say? They are great. Board runs very smoothly with 90+ people on, and the server load is extremely slow - even with a large database. The deal is almost too good to be true, but I have heard they are one of the best companies out there!
Pros - Quick and easy setup. 256RAM, 300Gb of transfers, 20GB hdd. 99$ a month! Board is smooth as silk.
Cons - Startup fee! 250 is a little much.
I would DEFINATELY recommend them.
