I've just got one and I think several others here have as well.

I would appreciate knowing more about how to set it up for Vbulletin.

Have people applied all the security patches for example?

Can you save me from making mistakes by letting me (and others) know how to get it right first time?!

I'm new to dedicated servers!

well as you know i got one too and to secure it and set up vB

all you really need is installing the openssh pkg file for SSH telnet

and mysql and php upgrading to compile with mysql support

On the Cobalt site are at least 10 security patches which close loopholes in Linux security.

I assume that these should be installed? - you have to apply them in the order they were released.

check the mailing list for any bugs in those releases so can mess up your raq4 pretty good i believe

Why would Cobalt continue to display updates that had bugs in them?

I can understand ones released very recently might be worth avoiding, but some date back months.
