merging databases 20 hours apart

well i have a problem with my host and they went down - told me the host server will be backup in 24 hrs which is just way too long - my last database backup is from last nite about 20 hours earlier.

my question is: i will put up that backup and when my regular host is up and the posts made in the last 20 hours - can I restore them somehow maybe using impex? i just want the posts made in the last 20 hrs to be posted because they will be unique

help on how i can do this is greatly appreciated - I do not want to import all posts because that will overrite all the posts now right?

There is no way to do a partial import. You would have to import everything.

yeah i know now i also had to submit a ticket since the answer was urgent - it sux because i had to wait nearly 15 hours on top of the 3 hours the forum was already down in order to prevent post loss
