transferring from 3.5.3 to 3.6.8

hi there,

Im experiencing 1 impex problem when trying the import from an old forum to a brand new installation:

all the forums are messed up.

Wait! Yeah I tried the ''after import'' process, but its not working.

I've tried like 10 times already, everytime differently (deleted main forum etc)

check it out here :

all the forums are transfered, but the order is really messed up, like their parent is not linked anymore...

sorry if this has been posted, I've looked through 3 pages and found nothing (and the 'forums messed' search has returned too much results)

Why are you importing and not upgrading ?

Continue with the import then reorder your forums.

It is recommended though to restore your old database to the new server then run the import script to upgrade your forums to the latest version instead of importing as importing requires all permissions to be checked and settings to be reconfigured which is not required when you upgrade.

well some changes were made to the old forums (in the scripts - custom modifications) that I wanted to get rid off... thing is not all modifications were documented so I wanted to start with a new installation then redo the modifs...

but ok, I will prolly do an update then
