I have 25 registered users and 5 guests on right now and the server stats are as follows:

7.78 9.35 9.59

about 11gb bandwidth per month, 3500 unique visitors per month, and just over 2,000,000 hits per month.

At what point do I outgrow shared hosting? I'm having a lot of problems with uptime with my host ( Site5.com ), they say it is due to load issues on their end. They haven't said anything about my site having too much load on its own.

From you're experience, how far away am I from having to go to something like VPS?

Thanks.

The server stats are for everything running on this server - not just your forums.

The level at which you will need to consider VPS or dedicated depends on your host and the server they have you on. I would consider 30 concurrent members well within most shared hosting plans, but this is really up to your host.

Thanks Steve. I saw in some post somewhere that a good number for server load is under 3 for each of the 3 numbers. Is that a good rule of thumb?

I don't really pay attention to server load enough to know if 3 is acceptable in the long term or not. Sorry.
