I wish to thank everyone that has helped me out over the last few months.

I have managed to set up the site, hack it to death.
Forced off a shared server to a dedicated. Set up a banner
server ........... and the list goes on

Without all your help, I would never have come this far.

I want to go into production on Monday but alas, as you can see my logo is cr*p. I need some help in this area.

I do not have the software to accomplish this task myself.

Is there anybody out there who can suggest a design. I am thinking of

MainFrameForum punched from the back in a metalic-type theme,
the background color is #999999.

Please VBer's have a look at the site. It is a specialised dite but there is
and area for GUESTPOSTINGS. I also need to check some performance issues out.

If someone can help I will give them credit with a
logo by : xxxxxxxxxxxxx in the copyright setcion.

One comment I have before you go live... ditch the "Sponsor sample" menu for something which renders (or whatever the word is) a little bit efficiently. I'm on a Geforce 2 GTS and I get page lag when scrolling, seems to be mainly over that menu area - somethign that would anoy me a lot if I frequented your site :)

Please take it as positive feedback, not a slagging for your hard work. :)

I could have ago at making you a logo, but I know there are some guys on these forums who are seriously talented when unleashed with Photoshop/3dsm . If you get stuck...

Should it be an animated logo or a static one?

Do you know of some other site that has a logo similiar to the one you want? (not to steal it but just to get an idea of what you would like);)

Here is my humble attempt.

I couldn't match your background color. But if you want to use this color as a backgound it is #B4B4B4.

Here it is. Don't laugh too hard.

Just a suggestion but how about dropping the .com?

You could make the letters bigger that way and the logo will standout better.

Just 2 more questions before I do this with the 3 caps:

With or without .com?

A logo almost always has a pitch in it. vBulletin - Instant Communty for example. In Europe it is common. Wouldn't you also like a pitch? Like: Mainframeforum.com - a site for power Admins or something along that line.

It's just a suggestion.

Dear Scott,

The .com need not be there. Static is just fine.

But a a pitch; have not really thought about it
but here is an idea :
...

MainFrameForum (with purple border)

then impressed one at a time underneath under logo
in smaller letters without purple border.

resourceful - dynamic - current

i would only want it to be done once over a period of about
3-4 seconds.

...

Scott, the static would be fine, but the pitch, well sounds too good.

:)

thanks a million

OK here it is.

I didn't put dashes in because I didn't know how I should fit them into the animation. With the word or not so I left them out. It should also look better on your darker background.

If you would rather have it static with dashes let me know.

Try right mouse click. Somewhere there should be save picture as or something to that effect. I use a german version of window and I would guess your using a dutch version. :)

Can you send me a quick email to s.molinar@adduco.de, then I
I'll send you the info for the acknowledgement. We may also have to fine tune the gif to get it to look right on your sight.
