plan I chose: Solo II, US$ 9.95/month, $40 setup

Pro: 500 MB space, unlimited bandwidth (though heard of that they actually have a bandwidth limit, once U reach that, U'll receive a warning - from UBB forum)

Con: TERRIBLE TECHNICAL SUPPORT and CUSTOMER SERVICE I'm not an genius, but I'm not a idiot. the support I need from a hosting company is limited - but I didn't get that from Aplus.

First, I need to transfer my domain name. Aplus didn't setup my domain name in their name server until 5 days later.

Second, I need to setup my email account, Aplus use a strange method, that the user name is followed by something like "@aplus.net", and they never told me that before I ask them why I can't access my email account.

Third, I setup a few email addresses finally, but I can't access some email account - delete and re-setup I got some of them working, a few days later, delete and re-setup got the remained accounts working.

4th, I need to setup a catch all email account. Aplus didn't provide any document or instruction nor function in their "panel". I emailed them for help, this is what I got from the reply something like this:

http://www/support/help.html ...

5th, I was mad, I repeat my question, and the reply ask me to email another department. I did so. The department send me an email: what password do U want?

6th, I quit. Aplus has 15 days money-back gurantee, I QUIT. but Aplus didn't seem to be happy, they didn't return my money back. I sent several emails to their billing department, I only got automatic response. after a month, I have to fill in a dispute form to my bank to get my money back.

7th, I thought everything is over. I found a great hosting company www.Aletiahosting.com which provides me tons of features for less money, and 24 hours icq support. but, I received another email from Aplus, said that my account with be charged within 30 days! what's the XXXX!

8th, I visited Cnet.com for web hosting comparision and comment, I found out the Aplus.net is one of their sponsor (I chose Aplus partly because of this), and 92% of the comment on Aplus.net is bad - but they all are 6 months+ old, I tried to publish my comment (similar to what I did above), the comment never appear.....

maybe Aplus.net is concentrating on big customers with dedicated servers. but for me, I had a really TERRIBLE experience with them.

Steer away...
