Hosting options

Hi every one. I purchased the latest version last year which was 3.6x but i was having various problems uploading it to my hosting company i chose. So after much head scratching and cussing i opted for a pro install. It turned out that the type of hosting i had was not compatible with the 3.6 version and i had to have the older 3.5 Also i was unable to activate image verification for the same reason.

Now i am not very computer literate so now the 12 month is nearing an end and the fact my present hosting company seems to have more than it's fair share of down time, and to top it off they were hacked a couple of weeks ago so i now have to change my password :mad: Suffice to say i have not been completely satisfied with the level of service, especially given the last time i called to find out why my forum was down for the 4rd time this week the guy at the other end gave me a very abrupt answer when i said it was not good enough he said write in and complain and hung up on me :confused:

So my question is can anyone reccomend a decent hosting service that doesn't cost the earth Also i am not realy sure of what i need and purchased the last hosting service blind and later regretted it due to the limiting factors. So what shoud i be looking for and who can offer this.
