Final import and migration

I went through the Impex import process a couple weeks ago and I'm just about finished with changing the styles, making template edits, adding products, and so on. So today I should be making a final import to catch all the new threads and users from the last couple weeks. I went through the Impex manual and this part has me scratching my head:

When you have done an import and are completely finished and wish to do another import you will have to set all these import id's to 0.

Also, since I already have the forums all set up, products such as vBa and PhotoPlog added, and so on, will a second import mess with the tables that were added for those mods? Or simply overwrite the tables it needs to edit and ignore all else?

And finally, on the initial import I read where it was advised to delete the vB stock install "Main Forum" forum. Do I need to delete all the forums that are in place now?

By the sounds of it you have old import data in your forum, you can't "get the difference" from that import to this one, you'll have to rerun the import to get all the new data.

What is best is to set up an empty forum as you want it, with products and styles etc, take a back up, then do the import, so you can revet to that backup without loosing any of your changes.
