Making moderated comments more obvious

Is there any way to make comments that need approval more obvious? The tiny icon is easily missed.

Also, perhaps the comments could be tied into the PM system? So instead of an email when someone comments to a blog post you could get a PM? (actually, I don't even get an email, currently)

Seriously, can we make them red or have a giant diagonal "MODERATED" across them?

And I get emails after I comment on someone else's blog that another comment has been added, but not for my own blog. I still think the PM system is a better way to go. Less variables.
