Here's my question. I'm getting ready to switch hosts. I currently run a VBulletin and I don't want to lose what I've got. I've never done this before. How would I backup all my users/threads/posts, and transfer to the new vbulletin?

I apologize if this sounds like a stupid question. Also, I'm posting this here because it's somewhat hosting related, and I cannot currently post a thread in the "How do I?" section.

To get vB support on these forums you first need to be a licensed customer and register for Priority Forum Support. To do this, please go here:

http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php

...and enter your email address in one of the boxes. You'll need to have your customer number and password to access the page.

You can migrate your account on new server and test it with temporary URL with the help of your host. Once the migration is completed successfully you can update the Name Server information of your domain name. The only downtime would be the time it would take to propagate from new server. All your data would be as it is.
