Another Stupid question :D:

I uploaded all of the new files to forums2. Created a new config.php with identical info from my old 3.6.4 forum and placed it in the includes file in forums2. I created a new database with Identical info from my 3.6.4 forum and pointed the new config file to it. Browsed to www.mysite.com/forums2/install/upgrade.php (http://www.mysite.com/forums2/install/upgrade.php) and received this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/jakec/public_html/forums2/install/upgrade.php on line 400
What am I missing? Thanks.

One of your files were badly uploaded, try reuploading the default vBulletin files.

Thanks very much for the reply. I re-uploaded the files and am now receiving this error when attempting to navigate the forums2/install/upgrade.php. After receiving this error I changed the config.php file to point to my existing database just to see if it changed. It did not. I still receive the following error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/jakec/public_html/forums2/includes/config.php:1) in /home/jakec/public_html/forums2/includes/functions.php on line 2801. I would really like to get it upgraded and tested in forums2 before I go live with it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Jake

BTW. I uploaded the files in auto mode in coreFTP.

Chances are there is whitespace before <?php,

If you dont see any, download the file, save it, and delete the config.php file on the server before reuploading it.

Well, there was no whitespace. So I downloaded the config.php file. Opened it. Ensured there was no whitespace. Saved the file. Deleted the config.php file on the server. Then re-uploaded the file. I still got the same error.

So....I replaced the config.php file in forums2 with my live config.php file on my live 3.6.4 forums, and I get the upgrade screen now. Do you think I'm ok to proceed once I get an updated database back-up of my live forum?

Thanks.

As long as the info in config.php is correct, you can proceed.
