Style selection should simply be part of user group settings, like PMs and mostly everything else.
vB has paid subscriptions, yet provides no means for webmasters to actually provide paying user groups with the ability to choose styles that have had the ad code removed. This would have been a much more sensible solution to this problem than having to do it the way that's described in the linked thread.
I actually couldn't believe this isn't possible after searching in the control panel for half an hour and trying out different settings.
To me, it feels like such an unbelievable glaring omission, especially with paid subscriptions. The primary benefit everyone gives to their paying users is disabling ads, after all. Yet we need to jump through a number of hoops to set it up instead of just putting in a style without ads and allowing paying subscribers to choose it.
I'd also be amazed if this hasn't been suggested dozens of times before, since it must be a common task most of us must go through, but here it goes again.
