Upgrade problem with PL1

Hello.
I am trying to upgrade with : 3.6.8 Patch Level 1 but cant
I have overwrited both flies in include folder , here are files

* includes/class_bbcode.php
* includes/version_vbulletin.php


but its not work , i am still at >> Latest version available: 3.6.8 Patch Level 1. You are currently running vBulletin version 3.6.8.

so need help about this .
Please help me and tell me whats wrong with files.

Are you uploading in binary mode?
Did you try deleting the files then uploading the new ones?

no i didnt deleted any thing just overwrited both files.
Should i delete and than install both files ??

upload both files in ASCII format overwriting the excisting ones then in your admincp pages at the bottom you will see

your forumpages will continue to show 3.6.8 that is normal ...

most ftp clients allow you to configure this thing is if you accidentely upload in binary mode it can corrupt stuff and that's probably why it isn't working as exspected look for something like "transfer mode"
