Hi
I need to know how can I do collapsing/expansion of my main forums of my web site or .... to make main forum different color than sub forum

I tried Forum Manager Display but it does not work:

there are three options for the display of the Forum Manager:
• Default - Displays all of the forums on one page but may not work on all browsers, especially if you have a large number of forums.
• Collapsible - Allows collapsing/expansion of certain forums within the forum manager. This may reduce the ease of usability of the forum manager, but will prevent rendering problems with the dropdown menus with certain browsers/operating systems.
• Single - Display a single dropdown from which you may choose the forum you wish to modify. This is most useful if you have a large number of forums.

please could some one help me

Best regards

The options you list here are for the internal forum manager, not the public listing.

Admin CP -> Options -> vBulletin Options -> Forum Listings Display Options -> Depth of Forums -> 2, 2, 1

This will list the subforums below forums, below categories, on the forumhome.

Thanks a lot for your help …. I did as you said and I set up:

Forum Listings Display Options
· Depth of Forums - Forum Home = 2
Depth of Forums - Forum Display =2
· Depth of Sub-Forums =1

But still there is no option for collapsing/expansion in the website
I wanted to do the same of this example (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php)
· (vBulletin Announcements and Discussions (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30))… is the header and colored in blue ,Next main forum is (vBulletin Sales (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=91)) also in blue color... and if you notes under post icon of each forum there is an arrow to do collapsing/expansion.
So please advise me how to do it…
This is my website www.dubaidw.net (http://www.dubaidw.net/) see if I did some thing wrong[/font]
Thanks[

You can set a forum as

- A forum (users can browse it and see sub forums, threads, and read the thread's posts once clicked on a thread)

- A sub-forum (the same as a forum, only the parent above it is also a forum)

- A forum that's a link (the same as a forum, but instead of being able to put threads in it, it acts (behaves) as a link to an external URL)

- A forum that's a category (the same as forum, but instead of being to put threads in it, it acts (behave) as a category, which groups forums and sub forums below it.)

The collapse icon appears automatically on the "CATEGORY".

To set up a category check out this video: http://www.vbulletin-tutorials.com/movies/vbtutor.addcategory.mov

- Admin CP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager > Add a new Forum > Act as a forum? NO! (if set to no, it is a category) > Save

Then go and change the parents of the forums to the category (set the category as a parent).
