I am a new vbulletin customer and see in the agreement

If you have a valid Software license, you may set up an additional test forum in order to test code, template and database modifications. To make this clear to us and our license verification procedures, place it in a directory called 'testvb' and be sure to password protect it. It must not be accessible by the general public.it doesn't cleary state if it has to be domain.ext/testvb or not so if its installed as testvb.domain.ext would that still work?

i think you can do it like that if you put a password on that directory, i think you can do that from cpanel - then you'll be the only one that can access the testvb

you can always set up a test board on your pc if u know how to set that up, much faster than uploading files lol

I think it has to be on your domain. I use DirectAdmin so its easy to upload .tar.gz files and I can extract them from the control panel and remove the tar.gz file, but I am gonna wait for VB staff to say for sure before I do anything.

i dont like direct admin lol, i used it before and i think u can set up password for directories there as well, u just have to look for it lol and it SHOULD be on your domain lol because if you add it to another one and there is no license for that main domain, they'll think ur stealing

u can wait for vb staff if you want but im pretty sure about this since i've done it in the past - but doing it on ur pc to test is the best since u control the whole thing :D
