Lost AdminCP Navbar Options

Most of the choices in my admin cp have disappeared. I was in the process of updating everything, 3.6.7 -> 3.6.8 -> 3.6.8 PL1. installation of all updates and plugin/product updates went smoothly. All admin functionality was maintained until installing one last product, Groups Commune.
After running the product update, and mistakenly running the install file (this errored out attempting to alter a table name, returning a duplicate table name) I went back into the AdminCP and was presented with:

Import
MP3 Player Management
vBa CMPS
Styles & Templates
Groups

for editing options. None of the normal vBulletin options were listed.


I assume a table or file was changed that contained this data, I just have been unable to find what it was that was changed to destroy my admincp nav panel.

I'm looking for guidance into which files/db tables might have been changed that could produce this error so that I may correct it.

ouch, the vb database was messed up, did you try re-uploading the admincp folder again and see if that fixes it?

ya just finished that a few minutes ago. sadly nothing changed.

that sux - u'll have to uninstall the product i guess - i am not sure if this will work but try this link

yoursite.com/admincp/plugin.php?do=product

and uninstall or delete that product that just screwed up ur board then see what happens

Found it, turns out it was the cpnav_vbulletin.xml file. somehow got truncated during an update somewhere.
