I think that vBulletin has nice features, with respect to being able to mark up one's text when posting in the board, and also their e-mail features (e.g. receive e-mail when someone posts to a thread you're interested in).
However, I don't like the default HTML template. It loads kind of slowly due to inefficiently written HTML code, doesn't use WIDTH/HEIGHT tags for the images (causing it to render jumpily in IE5+, and slowly in other browsers), and I believe that better contrast could be achieved. I also think that it could use more text links/buttons in the place of image buttons in some places (I only want to use an image if it's better than the text link from a user interface design perspective).
Does anyone know of a good HTML template set for vBulletin that was designed with usability in mind?
