https://www.vbulletin.com/order/
actually, if you think well, the forum where you posted it is called pre-SALES... so basically, you have to buy the thing
also, there is no free version of vBulletin, so just in case it is your situation, someone with a free version of vBulletin is in a illegal situation.
and it is good to have your webspace right now, you will have to verify its compatibility with the script though.

You don't get a prize for buying it, unless you consider vB to be the prize.... LOL.

To put it simple:
1. vBulletin is a commercial product (which needs to be paid for)
2. To run vBulletin, you need web space which allows the following:
- PHP support
- 1 MySQL database
(If you are unsure as to whether or not your hosting package offers this, I suggest contacting your web host)
vBulletin is far superior (much better) than other free software available on the market.
vBulletin has dedicated staff to develop and support the software. - Unlike providers of other software. (Who also have other jobs to attend to!) The end result is typically a far better quality product.
I hope that sums it up for you. :)

That would mean that every commercial product has to be better than an opensource-alternative. Just look at the linux kernel.
Still, vB is really good. :D

At this moment vB isn't only really good, at this moment is the best Forum product than an opensource-alternative and paid software.
This is only my simple 1¢ opinion.

Hmm, I can't see your character behind the "1". It's just an ugly question mark for me. Can someone confirm that?
(Still I think myBB or phpBB are also really good. - Maybe that discussion shouldn't be here, though...)

Ok it's not really about what icon it is, but that something is not working correctly. ;)

They are Hobbistic software, not really dedicated team on theirs development, if I should do a choice for a Free software, I would choose surely SMF.
But anyway I believe that we are going off-topic.
