Horizontal Divisions only?

I was wondering if there is a CSS code to only have horizontal border divisions. For example in the forumdisplay, is it possible to have a line dividing the threads horizontally, but not have the lines going vertically down which divide between the different columns?

I'm sure there is because I've seen someone do this forum the forumhome area, where the lines run horizontally, but not vertically for the borders.

I think what you need to do is look into the forumhome templates, find the table table and say border=0

I appreciate your help, but thats going to leave me not border on my forumhome, i want only horizontal in my forumdisplay.
