The blog should be killed off and rename, as I do not like clonewares. vBulletin could of done something speacial, but seemed to bow down to customer pressure to release something that is nothing new to the internet or vBulletin other then it was created by vBulletin.
I would rather it been more of a multi-use script that you can make or display what you need. e.g. Blog, Image Gallery, Video Gallery, Recipe, Links Directory, Archive, Articles, and much more.. vBadvanced almost got the idea, but still fell short, as it still looks like a early type of forum and has to many navigational links.
At least the design does not look like vBulletin default forum and it is the first release... Still it should of been more like what vBa_Dyn was thinking, but better thought out. I do like the option to have "Multiple Instance" license for one domain, as that maybe the best feature other then that you can basically create anything with it... Almost anything
Should of been a Chameleon script and that would have mass appeal.
Stumble, fumble... ball dropped. :(

If you want a blog, buy a blog script. If you want a gallery, get a gallery script.
This is the main reason why I dislike vBadvanced dynamics.

You dislike in why? cause you can not edit first post/entry and main members area layout for each use. That is all you need to do to make blog into anything, but you can only have one instance of this script.
That is not a reason to dislike vBa_dyn, as you stated nothing. I do not like the navigation links all over the place and page layout.
I totally agree
No point to start here...

I am very interested in vBdynamics / blogging / and vBulletin add ons that come with support.
What does vBdynamics do? I quickly read features at vBadvanced but still not clear to me.
Please list some sites making good use of vBdynamics and point out what they can do, that vBdynamics helped them to do.
Thanks so much!

They have their own demo site, but the product looks too much like a forum. If they had release first post modification to use as regular Blog, Media Blog: Photo, Video and Music. I think it can be use as a Article or a CMS - bite my tougue on the last part.
It has navigational links all over itself and that is one reason I do not like it. It does look likely to develop in a desirable addon in the future.
It is a multi-application script that you can have more then one instance of the script running on your board, if you by that version. You need to look at demo and ask over at that site, as it is now something that is somewhat competing against vBulletin products.

vBa Dynamics does come with a learning curve but it extremely flexible in it's usage of modules and layout options. Configuring it is likely the biggest hurdle for most people as you start with a blank slate, instead of pre-configured for 'use it as a blog' or 'use it as an article system' etc. so it's best to think about what type of page layouts you want before starting into it. The users at the site I'm setting it up will love the fact that they'll be able to modify the layout of their 'home profile' page.
The one feature that I see a lot of people asking for though is the ability for users to either select their own styles or to be able to create their own. AFAIK nobody offers that yet.

vBulletin could of done something speacialSuch as? A blog is a blog... There's no reason to reinvent the wheel.
I would rather it been more of a multi-use script that you can make or display what you need. e.g. Blog, Image Gallery, Video Gallery, Recipe, Links Directory, Archive, Articles, and much more. That's called a CMS, not a blog.

Try more Social Networking, as cms is a pipe dream. The wheel was reinvented many time... High speed rail (HSR) ... 'Look ma, no wheels'

Two years ago I was very hyped about the vBlog concept, thinking it'll be a standalone product (like Wordpress). Unfortunately, learned that wasn't the case -- it's like a cross of vBAdvanced and the vBJournal mod, instead.
I can truly use a standalone blog product, that can beat the free ones on the blog scene, now. Especially one that is secure out of the box (takes a lot of work to secure a freeware blog -- think phpBB -- and changing even the basics, like what Wordpress calls "fancy URLs"). It's those little things that would've set vBlog off as different, and much more useful for serious bloggers.
It will also help the vBulletin devs to write code that's truly XHTML Strict, as no serious blogware isn't using less.
Within my hiatus here I was at Washington Post with their blog system, and noticed the same community building, but the quality of posting was much higher (without much, if any moderation). Noticed the same at other blogs I frequent. Because of this I tend to be more attracted to the blog concept than forums now, largely because it's much easier to maintain (especially XHTML/CSS); the community is much tighter; and with blogging on my own, have more time for content-generation, not maintaining a full forum. With RSS/Atom syndication; search engine friendliness and blogroll sites galore, promotion is even a no-brainer.
This really should've been a standalone. $100 for an owned license, deal. I'd use it e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y if it was, but really have no need for something that a mod already had done, and being tethered to a forum to run it (and all the hefty system resources it would require).
