Install script

I have looked at ohter postings and tried the recomendations in them and I am still not working.

when I call my http://.../forums/install/install.php it comes up as a text file, it does not actaully run.

I have worked with my SA and he has done the following" "Three package installs later (conv, gcc and xml2) I was able to successfully start Apache with PHP enabled."

At thsi point nothing is different for me. when I call the install.php I stil get propmted to OPEN or SAVE and it opens as a file not as a program.

any "next step" suggestions?

This means that either PHP is not installed properly, or the php files were not uploaded correctly.

Reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server
