Blog as site homepage

I would like an option in the blog/forum options page to use the Blogs homepage as the site homepage.

I don't want to install wordpress or drupal. I would like to use the licensed version of vb blogs as a blog for my website. Click on a button to set blogs home as the index.php or redirect or whatever else has to be done to make it work.

One site, one login system, no more hacks.

You can do that with a very easy .htaccess redirect.

Yeah I could if I wanted to do a bit of reading on how to setup a redirect, but what i'm really craving is an option in general settings for me to set forum home or blogs home as the index page. This is my suggestion if it is worth anything.
