AF as seen in Sport Compact Car

AF is featured in the Sport Compact Car September issue... a very popular car magazine...:D
Looks like the subscribers began to recieve the issue today.

and right now there are around 235.. this is SOOO cool!!!

Any ideas on how to get as many of them to join as possible?

I personaly would NOT make the forums non-viewable for guests, rather make a simple popup that pops on the forum index once, in the popup have something like "Welcome Sport Compact Car Readers!" then under that, have a simplified registration area (username, password, email addy, there car).

I bet you could pull a 5 - 10% registration with this system, but it may take you a few hours to setup....

Just put that above the < /head> tag.

Now create a page called SCC-REGISTER.HTML, in that include the cut down registration script (i think the code is in the hacks forum). The cookie is called SPORTSCOMPACTCAR, and will expire in 3 years, I would leave the pop-up for 2 - 3 weeks, then remove the code.

Im sure thats enough for you to start with, good luck.

BTW, do you have a copy of the artical, or refrence from SCC online? Id like to see it...

I would have personalized it a bit more, ie (CSS Members, Welcome!).
