Is there a converter anyone knows of? My users have used it quite a bit, and I don't want to lose the content there.

You might want to save the kiss until afterwards, and read a few threads about all the issues first.

Are those issues fixed?

AFAIK, they've not even been looked at.

I'm thinking we should have a thread over on the impex forum to point that out and ask for feedback. Have to go help with putting kids to bed, but I'll start one latter when I get a chance this evening. I'm really getting to the point of total frustration with vBlogetin, I've got a totally overpowered dedicated VPS (2 Gig dedicated Ram, dedicated processor core, fully fault tolerant enterprise class machine) and yet *somehow* something seems to periodically tank the MySQL deamon on the Centos 4.5... I strongly suspect vBlogetin, and I'd like to try switching to vBlog as soon as some of the new features are added, but the import path from vBlogetin has GOT to work first. No way can I just scrap our existing blogs and start over...

You might want to check your facts before posting that, I'm constantly looking at all the issues posted and deal with all ticket of importing nature.

You dont have to do that since Impex works. If you want you can check my blogs James. At first we had problems but Jerry was kind to assist me on all the stages to correct the fixes. I was not lucky because the comment importer was not ready when i did the conversion: When i asked my members they said comments were not that important so i ditched out the comments.

Thanks Lizard King and Jerry!

I know you got though your import LK, but then I was seeing the thread here and what Brandon had posted over on his site ::shaking head:: I just wanted to clarify things before I started working on our migration on the test server. I'd actually intended to try that out awhile ago, but I got side tracked by some important meetings that may very well allow us to make our site a full time job! But that makes it even more important that I nail down the problems we're having with the blogs, and that may well mean a migration to vBlog. I'd like to hold off till the next major release if possible though, as I hate to take functionality away from our members. ::shrug::

That's what a test server's for though eh? In any case, our thanks to both of you for your effort in working out the kinks for the rest of us!

The problem Brandon had was related to a previous usage of Impex.
