Custom fields for the blog

We all know how useful custom fields are in the forum, that allow us to easily create options for the user with less code.
It would be nice if the blog allowed such functionality.
For instance, upon install of the blog, the option "Blog options" could be added to the drop down for selecting where a custom field will be shown. :)

You can use custom profile fields inside of the blog.

Yes but they will not appear in the Blog CP which is unprofessional...

I'm sure a lot of that will be addressed in 3.7 when the SN component comes out but in the meantime you can edit the template and add a descriptive link going to the usercp.
