I think the gallery should be incoroperated into the blog and not be another addon, as it will be some what of a waste of resources.
Links to gallery, videos, favourites and others things...
Title for each gallery, videos, favourites and others things... if needed.
Paid Subscription to have these option and or blog group permission.

I will post the video and other addons people might think should be separate, but should be within Blog.

What gallery are you talking about ?

If they did that though, it would mean anybody wanting a gallery would have to purchase the Blog to get it.
And some people don't want or have much use for the Blog. So it's not a good idea really and should be kept seperate add-on for that reason alone.

If there were to be a Gallery addon, wouldn't it be more prudent to use the social networking components of 3.7 to pull the user profile, their blog and their gallery together instead of cramming everything into the Blog product?

Little offtopic, but I like those photos :D
And I agree with Wayne.

Actually do not know much about what 'social networking' really is and does it connect with other forum(s) or some kind of Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed type. I rather not have individual addons when it will be basically the same thing as a blog. If you do not want a gallery, [MRGTB] then that is why I mention to have set 'Group Permission' or 'Paid Subscription'

Definetly be better to incorporate with SN rather than the blog, if the gallery ever comes to life that is.

Why would anyone want to purchase another addon {gallery} when it can be part of Blog. It is the word Blog that is getting you all confuse, when I asking it to be an option to turn on / off. I will not puchase if you can not be able to add 'Paid Subscription' to use blog or any new features added to blog.
The vBulletin Blog is the first release and was not hoping it had everything pack in at release, but I do not see the point in making a seperate script for a gallery or anything simular. You can just as easily make vBulletin first post into what ever look you need and that can take care or buying any future addons, except it will be quite a job in creating usergroups for each forum for each member.

Because my site has different sections : forums - articles - blogs - gallery
i have around 8000 images in my gallery and a gallery has nothing to do with a blog. You may find it usefull for yourself as you want but majority of users will not want that.
Of course i am looking deep integration gallery and other sections of my site including blogs but thats all. Gallery must have its own space.

The problem is 'BLOG' it could of been something simular to what vBadvanced created and just have Adminastrator controls on type of user sections. Blog would of been a great addon for vBulletin version 1.x.x and not now, as some member(s) would like as is and it will not apply to the majority to have a plain Blog when you could offer your member(s) more features like a picture gallery which you can leave comment(s) and the same with video(s) that you can have a discussion about a video tutorial or math problem that was shown in the video. This could of been much more then what any tom, dick or jane can get for website.
A blog script is not an original idea and the problem was calling it a blog script, but then it is to late to call it something else.

You can look at it that way however i look totally on a different scale. If you are not happy with the blog and you donot see any value with it then there is a very easy solution. You will not purchase it.

This is a suggestion forum and I can say what I want to have within Blog as a standard feature. If you do not like these suggestion, then that is you only.
Why do you not spend money on buying licenses for each category or forum(s) you make on your site, as that is what you want for addons that are simular.
Again I would say the Blog is better with gallery and any other simular function added to Blog. Making addon for the sake of member(s) that do not know what they want is a waste of resources.

The blogs already have attachment option as same as vbulletin. a gallery is a total different usage. you can't expect people to mix two different products just because you want to spend less money. i know the products need a lot of work and i highly respect that. thats why i choose to pay for products which i find deserves the money i pay.

You do know that this is vBulletin.com and wanting something is not the same as getting it. I will not hold my breath on a good gallery from vBulletin on it first, second, or third major release and it will be below the standards of http://www.keil-software.de/demos/pk/index.php. Gallery is just a Blog with users entries and it is only a format apge change.
Now this is a script I would like to have for fun and that would be able to do several things at once. The Blog was thinking of old and vBadvance seems to figure that out before vBulletin.

I would suspect that some customers would like a gallery but not a blog and vice versa.

You can set up the permissions so they need to purchase a paid subscription to use the blog.

Another thing is my typing is not as fast as what I am thinking. The thing is that once you give something a name, then that is all it is and not something new or revolutionary(radical). If a user wants a gallery or what ever, then you can set permission and it should be set in another category and or page link.
Blog, Gallery, Video, Games = the same thing. It is the same if you do not want polls, ratings, reputation or post counts. Just make it an option for each user to want to use by payment or free use.

I absolutely agree with Jose Amaral Rego. The photo gallery options need to be expanded to include other areas of the forum. Many ppl including myself are very interested in options for the galleries vs having to use hacks or have to purchase other programs to accomplish what social networking is about or should be about. Social Networking is about sharing...information....about one's self or business and the best way to accomplish that on the net is with images. The current image options are very limited with 3.7.5 (beta) and should be looked at improving the image options and the availability of images to be used in other areas of the forum and for users to be able to incorporate images much more easily to their areas of social networking. ex: visitor messages, profile pages, blog and allowing users to incorporate their own images from their albums into postings as well. Allowing users to have their own galleries vs clogging up their profile page with a strip of albums with limit options for those albums. (just my opinion)
