View Full Version : RSS Feed Reader posting to vBulletin Blog

It would be great if forum owners could have the RSS Feed Reader in vBulletin not just post RSS feeds to forums, but also to blogs. For example, instead of importing news stories into your forum, you could import it into a News blog.

I think this would be an amazing feature! It would also be great if individual members could create an rss feed from their personal blog so that when they post from say, Tyepad or Blogger, thier blog also posts within their vBulletin Blog. I think it would need to have permissions so that only certain members could do this though.

Is this possible within the architecture of how vBulletin Blog is built?

This would be an amazing feature! My users really like the blog addition, but some of them won't use it because they blog elsewhere. Being able to have their entries read into their vbulletin blog would really be useful.

I just wanted to bump this because I think this is a feature that is needed to spur interest in the vb blog since many people say that the blog is of little interest to members:

I think what could overcome this is to have some type of set up that allows bloggers to automatically post their blog posts from an external blog (blogger, typepad) into their VB blog on a particular forum. Or it could work the other way (post in your VB blog, then it automatically posts in your blogger or typepad blog). I think the last option is harder. One way to do this may be to allow blogs to have RSS feeds into them, that way if someone posts on their typepad blog, they can set up there VB blog with the typepad rss feed and it gets posed into the VB blog.

Please make this a feature in the next release :)
