What is the objective of Blog?

I would like to know the objective of Blog and what is the difference between Blog and Forum?

The forum is for group discussions where-as the blog is a place for a member to jot down there thoughts with the option of allowing people to comment on them.

It is more of a online personal diary, but vBulletin version lets you control for the most part which people can view your entries. It is simular to usergroups, but easier and this is just the first release of the product. You should know this, as you been here since almost the begining and seen how much vBulletin core script has grown.

It is quite simular to what you are able to do with forum(s) apart from you having some control on who can view. I like to see people paying to subscribe to your own blog and or paying for resources used, but that will be something maybe far down the road.
