I have my members set to a 20 minute post editing time period.

Is there any way I can apply this to their blog to stop them deleting it or making alterations?

Why do you want to stop them doing that? They should have full control of their blogs.

I agree with this , however an option to save all edited entries as a backup may be an excellent feature.

There are no time limits for blog editing.
