As PT is already using a calendar feature, I'd like to suggest further implementation of the calendar function:
- private calendars
- schedules (excellent for moderator holidays, HR management and staff work schedules)
- project time tables visible in calendars (for project overview and planning of new projects)

What Calendar Feature is PT already using?
I haven't seen it.

The start date and end date are attached to a calendar function.
See the bottom of this page for example:

Isn't that just the date range for searching each project?

As for the suggestion, I would like to see this implemented as well. I could definitely see use for a couple of my projects.

To clarify what I mean and how this can be functional, please see the features of these related project software packages.

Sourceforge their WebCalendar (http://www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php):

WebCalendar is a PHP-based calendar application that can be configured as a single-user calendar, a multi-user calendar for groups of users, or as an event calendar viewable by visitors. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, Interbase, MS SQL Server, or ODBC is required.
WebCalendar can be setup in a variety of ways, such as...
A schedule management system for a single person
A schedule management system for a group of people, allowing one or more assistants to manage the calendar of another user
An events schedule that anyone can view, allowing visitors to submit new events
A calendar server that can be viewed with iCalendar-compliant calendar applications like Mozilla Sunbird, Apple iCal or GNOME Evolution or RSS-enabled applications like Firefox, Thunderbird, RSSOwl, FeedDemon, or BlogExpress.Overview of Features

Another project solution, which is very similar to Jelsoft's Project Tools, but also has Calendar integration is Jlooma's Project Fork (http://www.projectfork.net/content/view/13/14/) (formerly known as hydra manager):
Calendar
Create Events
Share Events with other Users

I think where your off-track is that you said the calendar was integrated into the Project Tools.
And I asked where?

You said in the bottom of the search function.

Thats just part of the search range of issues, if it has some more effective function, like it actually connects and is implemented into the project tools, then could you please post it.
Not what other packages can or can't do, but just this one.

Thanks.

I think where your off-track is that you said the calendar was integrated into the Project Tools.
I didn't say that, but I can see how this can be misunderstood. I meant that the time line function already has a calendar when you select the time range. Not a usable calendar, but merely a calendar to select date. So there is a starting point for development there. I didn't mean to say that there is any usable calendar functionality as we would need it.[/quote]

Alfa, the reason I asked, was, it wouldn't be the first time, I've overlooked some functionality because I didn't go through the API/dox diligently.

I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something.

Thanks for the response.

I'd like to vouche for this too; particularly, I as an admin would like to have a "Due Date" filed for issues, which would then appear on the vBulletin's built in calendar (perhaps on a project specific calendar?) so that way everyone can see what's happening and when is what due.
