suggestion for postbit/profile

Nice job, just got the blog.

Suggestion: Have the option to show the number of entries (as it is) or the latest blog title for the user in the postbit and on their profile page. This will encourage more blog activity. If I see an interesting title in a user's postbit I will click it.

Example:

Blog Entries: 1 (as it is)
Latest Blog Entry: Text here

Text could be snipped.

Would be good as an option in the admin panel. Options would be good for each so you could have text in the postbit, number in their profile, and vice versa.

Not only that but those rely on each individual user adding their RSS feed which most people probably won't do.

This is the feature I miss the most. I really think it would have done a lot to cross the bridge between the forum and the blog. I have no doubt we'll see this very soon in a future version.

I believe you can do this now by modifying the plugins and the templates. Look at the showthread/editpost/showpost plugins and you'll see they join blog_user to get the number of entries. blog_user also contains references to the user's last blog so if you modify those queries to get that information and then modify the postbit template to display, you'll be on your way.

Good suggestion indeed, and it seems like it has been implemented (the profile bit that is), see the screenshot.
