Should I point the blog attachment dir to the same as my forum attachment dir ? Or is that likely to cause problems ?

And if the forum attachment dir is right will a ./ path work - ie. ./attachments relative to the forum dir ?

Do not put them in the same directory.

You can use relative paths as well.

No, I would suggest giving it its own dreictory. and it should be a full path if possible.
