Is there any way to setup a DUE DATE for the project tasks?
I've tried to find some information in the manual, but other than versions, which don't have a due date, I can't see how.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Was there a reason, something as common as Due Dates and Times weren't included in this Project software?
I'd be interested to know what the thinking is behind it.
And is it going to be included in an upcoming release?
Thanks Colin.
Otherwise I may look into creating a Hack for it, if its pretty standard code. (I've built some hacks a couple of years ago, that mods and admins are still using today, so it might take me awhile, but I work pretty good around the code you guys have perfected. <grin>)
I just don't want to work on anything that may be worked on for a new release.

I really wish that this feature was included, it would really help with making people accountable for deadlines.

My guess is we might get this in the next release, as it's in demand, and seems to have been forgotten. ;)

My vote here also.
+1 for issue due dates
+1 for milestone management incorporating bugs/features/tasks

I could've sworn I asked for something like due dates in my milestone thread but if I didn't (and I'm too lazy to check lol) then yeah, by all means, thats a biggie too!

This is a big deal to me also. Just purchased the system and really like it except for the missing time line option. For now I really don't need to do all the automatic pushing and relationship issues. Just a way to place a due date on the screen.

Is there an estimate on when a new release for project is coming?
I haven't seen anything posted.
We won't have to wait until our 1 year subscription runs out each time a new version is going to be released will we? LOL
Give us at least a hint of when the new one is coming guys?
Don't do a sony and tell your customers all the cool PS3 games will be out in the third quarter, and then state, 'but we didn't tell you which year...' (GTA IV and FFXIII are taking longer than Windows took to create)
:D

Maybe we'll see one soon, now that the Blog addon is out.
Or.. The Devs could also be focusing on vBulletin 3.7 and/or the SN component in leu of an update of the PTs. They seem to focus on one pet peeve at the time.

I think I take my comments back about when the next version will be out.
The last one, 1.0.1 just came out on Aug. 7th. I didn't even realize.
I guess they are much faster than I thought.

Another update is still due simply because of the oversight addressed in this thread, so hopefully it won't be too long.

Nope, sorry.
May be possible to use sorting of tasks:
2007-10-01 Task2 title
2007-10-05 Task2 title
This can be OK for small projects...
But I do not see sorting of tasks by title :(
