Move poll below first post?

I have a contest where I want people to read all of the information before they vote. Is there a way to move the poll below the first post?

I think all you need to edit is the show thread or post bit template

I tried to just move $poll, but nothing showed up.

I rather have poll within any post option on any forum. I never tried to move below first post and will give it a try some months later.
