MySQL server has gone away

I have just done an import and got 6 vbulletin database error emails giving the error 'MySQL server has gone away'.

Presumably this is a time out error. The import seems to have gone OK, so should I be worried about the errors?

It means the connection that ImpEx and/or vBulletin was using was lost.

Imports are brutal on the database with the amount of inserts and selects done, it's not uncommon for a database to miss a few under a heavy import.

If they happen during the normal operation of your forum, then yes it's an issue, though if during an import it should be fine as ImpEx would of failed out on any data that it didn't import correctly.
