Impex apears to be working but fails.

I been playing around all day, managed to get ImPex to work (or did i) I'm restoring a db from my old IPB site. I run ImpEx, it tells me everything works, only to find out that i have no posts like before, no members, and an unregistered "a" (click on it and it says the user doesn't exist) as newest member ? What could be the problem here?
Any ideas?
