Hi guys,

Here's a killer idea which would be easy for you folks to implement.

Add a file called "total.php" to the vB distro which basically prints the total number of pages that the vB has served up. Thats fairly easy...

Now request that registered webmasters (I'm sure early adopters would not mind) keep that file and you folks can then poll it on a weekly / nightly basis.

Then add a running counter to your page which prints out the total number of pages served through your software across various boards.

:)

Ok, its obvious I'm bored :)

Interesting..

I edited the icon here because I'd selected the wrong icon here on the original post. It somehow does not get changed back in the forumdisplay page.

hmmm...

I did just test this on my forum running the 1.10 version and it seemed to work just fine after editing.

Detailed stats reporting is on my long term to do list.

Hi John,

This is not really a detailed stats request. Its something that will allow you to market vB by posting a running counter somewhere...

"vB powered forums have delivered xxxxxxxxxxx pageviews this month"

P.S. Just signed up for a lease to play with the software :)

yes, and maybe if it could say the total ammount of members as well :)
Just a small stat thingy to feed us until a more complex version comes along ;)
