View Full Version : Impex is asking for an IPB system ?

Okay, here is a quick run down of what's going on now.

I have a friend who had a IPB board and he imported it to vBulletin1..

Now he has another vBulleitn2 board that he wants to imported the merge vBulletin1 with.

vBulletin1 ( the old IPB) is the source
vBulletin2 is the target.

I've entered all the info and when I go into impex I get an error message asking for the IPB2 folder.

If I add that folder, I can go in and run the modules but it isn't pulling any info.

How can I get the imported to recognize the vBulletin imported board ?

Thanks

You need to use the vB to vB importer, not IPB.

Yes, I know Steve. This is what I'm trying to use but it's give me an error message asking for the ipb2 folder.

The only thing I can think of is that there are settings in the Source vB that still say IPB. I can however view the source vB board, and login just fine.

thanks

I dont see what settings those could be if the import was finalized. What are those IPB settings?

in the source database if I search for "IPB" I come up with a few instances. like in the "datastore"

SELECT *
FROM `xxx_vbtemp`.`datastore`
WHERE `title` LIKE CONVERT( _utf8 '%IPB%'
USING latin1 )
COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci
OR `data` LIKE CONVERT( _utf8 '%IPB%'
USING latin1 )
COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci
OR `unserialize` LIKE '%IPB%'
LIMIT 0 , 30

I can post more if you want.

Thanks
